Grandiose Offroadtour mit viel Abwechslung!
Wir hatten eine tolle Tour auf der wir selbst gefahren sind mit viel Abwechslung. Anfangs ging es über anspruchsvolles Gelände nachdem wir mit einem wunderbaren Ausblick belohnt wurden. Zwischendurch gab es Streckenabschnitte auf denen es etwas schneller zuging. Dann folgte wieder anspruchsvolles Gelände und wirkliche Herausforderungen sowie viel Spaß! Zwischendurch hatten wir genug Möglichkeiten anzuhalten und tolle Fotos zu machen. Wir haben uns sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt und würden die Tour jederzeit wieder machen. Wir konnten die portugiesische Landschaft zudem von einer ganz neuen Seite kennenlernen. Wer Lust auf Abenteuer und Natur hat ist hier genau richtig!

I loved this trip..it was a full day with multiple stops with lunch along the way. I went with my wife and would highly recommend. Its a bit bumpy in parts but not to bad...and its a great way to see the really lovely parts of the Algarve that otherwise would be difficult to get to!

“Een spannende trup”
Hartstikke leuke dag gehad met Luis. Veel persoonlijke aandacht, wij waren de enige auto die mee deed dus het voelde bijna als een privé rondleiding. Luis is een warm en aardig persoon die alles goed uitlegt en tevens is hij een goede gids. De trip begon rustig, zonder bijzondere routes maar na 30 minuten -1 uur, toen we gebergte bereikten begon de fun van klimmen en afdalen. Erg leuk. Wij hebben voor een 4 uurs tour gekozen en dat was perfect.

“Spannende technische 4x4 zelf rijden safari”
Een buitengewoon spannende en technische rit. Mijn vriend en ik waren aangenaam verrast. We kenden de omgeving al een beetje en de safari zelf was waar het om ging.
Louis neemt je mee naar plekken waar het echt op het rijden aankomt. Met prachtige uitzichten en goede begeleiding.
Louis is easy going en dat maakt het tot een mix van ontspanning en zeer spannend . Wij hebben heerlijk genoten van de tocht naar Silves.
Bedankt Louis , de volgende keer Marokko , wij zijn enthousiast!

"Off road adventure ”
We had hotel book for us, and got picked up from hotel. Must say time wise he was on the dot.
Luis explained really well to question we asked during the journey.
First stop at fontes which is quite peaceful to be near nature, not rushed about timing (we were booked for 4 hr I think) we took about hour and half but he didn't complain as we were enjoying walk around water.
Picking the sweet is something different en route.
Don't want to give away too much.
You have to book him and carry on the adventure.

“A great 4x4 experience to see a different Algarve”
Booked online direct with 'Jipe Safari' via email at the last minute as we managed to find some late flight deals to Faro. Luis,(owner) of Jipe was an excellent communicator and contacted us in good English to confirm the booking. He also took time to identify suitable transportation from Faro where we were staying. We booked when it was off peak season in mid January 2017 with some limitation to public transport. But despite this, Luis identified on our behalf both bus and train options with times and prices. It was decided taking the one and a half hour bus (at 6 Euro per person) was the best option with Luis meeting us at Portimao at 9.45am with our very own Mitsubishi Pajero (You Drive). As it was off season, it ended up we were the only party with Luis giving us a one-to-one service. We were deeply honoured he took time to accept our booking. I am sure at peak season, there would be a convoy of 4x4. Luis took us up (and down) the mountain terrain towards Monchique, through water making many stops at relevant sites that depicted the Algarve, from a farm that produced cork (world leader producer) via orange groves, historical sites to the highest point of Algarve where we had a splendid view across to the Southern coast. To summarise, great operator (Luis), great service, worth the money to experience heavy terrain and challenging tracks and waterways. Really bumpy and full marks to a competent Pajero. He also took us the have an authentic Portuguese lunch with a great view overlook the mountain. All in all we made a right choice to book with Luis. You will love the experienced with him.

"Jipe Safari review”
A great day out and definitely a day to remember. Highly recommended.
We opted for the 7 hour trip with the professionals driving and we were lucky enough to pick a quiet day so there was only us - which meant we got a personal guided tour from Luis for a whole day - Fantastic!
We met at 9:30 in Praia da Rocha and returned about 17:30 (7 hours + 1 hour for lunch I guess). I don't want to give too many details as I think that may spoil the trip for others but I will say the trip was a good balance of off road tracks with stunning scenery and some visits to some more touristy stuff (Portimao, Castelo (Castle) do Silves, Monchique village and some others). We also saw some things that a tourist wouldn't normally see such as a traditional honey farm where local honey is processed and 'fire water' is distilled. Lunch is included ... we were surprised but I am not going to say more so you can be too.
The landscape was stunning through the mountains to reach Monchique in ways that can only be done in a 4 x 4. The highlight of the trip was the views from Foia Monchique (top of the mountain) which is the highest point in the Algarve from where we could see coastline from Portimao to Faro.
Luís Gonçalves, our driver was good fun and knew the area well, showing us the beautiful cork forests, fruit trees and villages. The visit to the honey and fruit farm was fun and it was interesting to see the equipment used and how
it was made, and sampling the fire water and honey drink.
This was excellent value for money and we would highly recommend it as something different to do.

“Fantastic”
Can only agree with almost all other reviews , great tour , great guide , great fun.
I like to do excursions like this ( self drive ) as it's far more fun than being driven , and this did not disappoint.
More off roading than expected , not done it before but given really good guidance.
Trip should have been 3 hours but was closer to 4 , but at no point did we feel rushed. Kids loved it , wife hung on for dear life !
Highly recommended !!!!!!

“Take a view of the Algarve in style!”
Luis was our host taking us on a 7 hour trip showing us the sights, sounds and flavours of the Algarve. It was a long day but we all enjoyed the trip in the 4 wheel drive with both off roading and on the paved roads. The vehicle was very comfortable and air conditioned. Lunch was included and tasty.
This was excellent value for money and we would highly recommend it as something different to do. At no time were we concerned with the off roading and enjoyed the steep slopes!!1

"Algarve Jeep Safari”
Having not driven a 4x4 I was really looking forward to this trip and it did not disappoint. Luis collected us from our hotel after booking the trip via email. All of us really enjoyed the experience it was very well organised and we got to see some very nice views of the algarve countryside and we stopped at a nature reserve for refreshments. It made a nice change from the beach and pool, I would thoroughly recommend it
